I just went to Kuma's Korner for the first time with my boyfriend for an awesome date! It took us a few minutes to find parking but luckily we found a nice spot on the side street next to it. (It almost looks like a mini parking lot.) We were seated right away and given a warm welcome. Kuma's is known for it's awesome burgers named after metal bands like Metallica, Slayer and Iron Madien. They also play metal music which set an awesome atmosphere that was complimented by the waitstaff and decor. After hearing such positive reviews from Kuma's I was super pumped to taste a delicious Metallica burger. Even though Julian suggested I try the Iron Maiden, I had to go with my favorite metal band, Metallica with a root beer on the side. The Metallica burger came with a 10 oz beef patty, bacon, blue cheese dressing, buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion. The burgers came fairly quickly and were HUGE. I didn't think I would be able to finish it but I was starving so I did. To be honest it wasn't all that great. The buffalo sauce and the blue cheese dressing were not a great combo and made the burger taste pretty salty. The burger was cooked a perfect medium and by itself was quite good. The french fries looked a little dark for some reason (maybe the type of potato?) but were alright. When the bill came I almost fainted. Each burger was $14 and my glass of root beer was $4. Our total for 2 burgers and a root beer was around $35. Originally, I was going to give Kuma's Korner 3 stars for their great atmosphere and wait staff but the food and the price are weighing it down to 2 stars mostly because I don't see myself going back. The food was not all that great and definitely wasn't worth the price. Good job to the wait staff though!
Have you been to Kuma's Korner before? What was your experience like? P.S. It also is a bar and the bathrooms are really cool.
